Introduction
Albert Einstein is considered to be one of the greatest and most popular scientists of all time. His name is associated with genius and is know is almost every household even thou his inventions and discoveries are not always fully understood. His life was not always so good to him and he had a lot of personal problems on his road to becoming one of the most known scientists in the world.

It all began on March 14, 1879, in Ulm, a city in the state of Wurttemberg, Germany. Son of Hermann and Pauline Kock Einstein. Albert was always surrounded by science even since his early age when Albert was one year old his family moved to Munich where his father and uncle ran a small engineering plant. In 1881, Albert?s sister Maria was born, she was nicknamed Maja she would later recall how heavily would Albert concentrate when he would build houses of cards.
Albert did not begin talking until the age of 3, later he would say that he? I was putting words together in my mind and did not want to start speaking until I could do it right?. Albert?s mother had a passion for music and wanted for her children to have it too, so little Albers was taught violin. Later he would often play his violin when he could not solve the mysteries of the universe.
Albert was sent to a local Catholic school primary school. Albert could not fallow the strict rules and did badly in school. He had excellent grades in mathematics, Latin but very poorly in rest of subjects. His teachers always said that he was a dreamer and will never be much in life.
At the age of 15, Albert was sent to secondary school in Munich?s Luitpold Gymnasium. This school was even stricter than his primary school. His family moved to Milan, Italy in 1894 because his father business failed. Albert could not stay in school much longer and left to join his family in Italy.
Because of his love of science Albert’s father suggested for him to become an engineer and join Zurich Polytechnic in Switzerland. Albert took the entrance exam and did good on math and science but failed because of a foreign language. One of the professors sow a genius in young Albert and took him into his family to Study language at the local school. He retook the exam in 1896 and passed at the age of 17. Unfortunately, he was skipping classes and feeling bored again. Whenever a test would come up he would study and then fall back to his daydreams. Albert had his own ideas about physics and science and was figuring on problems of his own.
Mileva Maric was Albert’s first love, she was the only female student in his class and they were spending a lot of him discussing complex scientific problems. Soon the 2 were in love and Meliva was pregnant. She had to move back home in Serbia, soon she gave birth to Lieserl. Alberts mother did not approve of his love with Melive and said that she wasn’t good enough for him.
Albert finished his studies in 1990 and received a diploma. Now it as a time to get a real job, his professors would not recommend him for a teaching passion they said that he did show enough promise. In 1902 he took an examiner at the Swiss Patent Office in Berlin and got a job of rewriting descriptions of inventions. Einstein loved his new job because he still had so much energy after he was done and he worked with new inventions.
He and Mileva got married in 1903 and next year they had a baby boy. 1905 was Einstein’s annus mirabilis- ?year of miracles?. Einstein published several scientific papers in a German journal, to the scientific world these ideas were amazing. One of his early papers was on how to count a number of atoms and molecules and later he published a theory that all matter is composed of matter. His next paper stated that light is not a steady bean but separate little particles of energy. Einstein was not going to explain the photoelectric effect. When a light bean struck a sheet of metal electrons were ejected forming an electrical current. This led to the invention of the television.
Next Einstein published his famous relativity theory, which basically stated that time moved differently on objects that moved with different speed. Einstein added a fourth dimension which was time. Some of its basic ideas were that speed of light is always the same and that as the object reaches the speed of light it’s mass increases. This was just an explanation for his next paper. This formula made Einstein?s name known in every household overnight. In 1905 Einstein published the theory of E = mc2: Double-Edged Sword. This equation states that energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. This means if mass moves fast enough it can be transformed into energy. Using this principal scientist were able to split the atom and release the tremendous destructive energy of atomic bombs. The same principle was used to harvest the atomic power for civilian purposes like nuclear power plants. Nuclear medicine is also used in medicine to treat a wide range of diseases.
In 1914 Einstein became the director of Kaiser-Wilhelm Institute for Physics and a professor at University of Berlin, that summer WW1 broke out. Einstein was very much against the war signed a public letter criticizing it, his wife and the kids were in Switzerland that summer and his marriage was not going very well. After the separation, they never lived together again as a family.
The scientist had a chance to test Einstein?s theory of relativity in 1919 on the island of Principe where they had to look at the sun on a total solar eclipse. They measured the light emitted from a certain star and found that its light was deflected just by the amount that Einstein had predicted. Einstein?s theory was on the front page of every newspaper and now he was hounded by reporters and intellectuals hungry to know everything about him.
In 1919 Einstein finally divorced Mileva and married his second cousin Elsa Einstein Lowenthal. Einstein did not want a wife that was a scientist and Elsa knew nothing about science.
During 1922 trip to Shangai, China he received a Nobel prize for physics. He gave the prize money to Meleva. In 1933 Einstein moved to America because of Anti-Semitism and Nazi dictatorship in Germany. Einstein settled in the Institute for Advanced Studies in Princeton, New Jersey. His sister Maria moved in with them and stayed until her death in 1951.
Conclusion
Einstein was very worried about German?s aggression and in 1939 Germany invaded Poland, WW2 begun. Einstein wrote a letter to President Roosevelt in 1939 that German scientist is trying to create an atomic bomb. Six years after the U.S dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan killing more than 200,000 altogether.
Albert Einstein died on April 18, 1955, because of aortic aneurysm-the abnormal swelling or a major artery. His body was cremated and his ashes were scattered in secret location. His brain was examined in 1955 but scientist found nothing then his brain was examined again in 1999. They found that it was missing a certain little wrinkle which was parietal lobes, associated with visual imagery and mathematical thinking.
